The URBN Lofts project in Guelph, Ontario, is a striking example of modern architectural excellence, featuring a six-story structure built entirely using precast concrete. Completed in just 10 weeks between May and July 2020, the project achieved remarkable efficiency and aesthetic appeal. With a brick Formliner finish in dark and light grey hues, it adds sophistication to the Guelph skyline. Innovative features like precast wall panels with integrated electrical boxes for balconies showcase collaboration between design and manufacturing. The building opened for occupancy in 2021, offering 93 residential units with spacious layouts and modern amenities.

Key contributors to the project included Tacoma Engineers, Sierra Construction Group, and MMNC Inc., working alongside Stubbe's Precast to deliver this award-winning structure. Spanning a gross floor area of 73,367 square meters, it utilized advanced precast components, including hollow-core slabs, solid slabs, insulated wall panels, and precast stairs, beams, and columns. This collaborative effort highlights the potential of precast construction for delivering high-quality, efficient, and sustainable buildings.
